Solar Wind Hybrid System

Most of the rural areas of Nepal are still not connected to the electricity Grid. People living in those area are facing a lot of problems which we cannot even imagine. If those areas are electrified life standard of people in those places will be up-lifted. Nepal has high Solar Radiation annual in average also most of those areas in hilly region are windiest too. Such remote parts can be electrified in short period of time with the help of renewable energy sources like Solar, Wind or by Solar-Wind Hybrid System. According to many renewable energy experts, a small hybrid electric system that combines wind electric and solar electric (photovoltaic or PV) technologies offers several advantages over either single system. Many hybrid systems are stand-alone systems, which operate "off- grid" (not connected to an electricity distribution system). For the times when neither the wind nor the solar system is producing, most hybrid systems provide power through batteries.

In remote locations, stand-alone systems can be more cost-effective than extending a power line to the electricity grid. But these systems can also be used by people who live near the grid and wish to obtain independence from the power provider or to generate revenue from the grid supplier.
